Each piece uses a scuffed white background base of pencil. I then add torn pieces of paper in horizontal and vertical lines. Layers of balsa wood covered in torn paper coloured with graphite, building up layer upon layer.

These 5 pieces are much larger and stronger than my previous pieces in this style (I had yet to start the Connected Series) There is far more depth than before. You will see that the framing has changed dramatically to compliment the pieces.
