White Baseboard. Multiple strips of Graphite coated paper laid in vertical and horizontal directions. Wooden strips of various lengths covered in graphite coated paper - placed horizontally and vertically on top of each other.
This started out as a very experimental piece, originally the backboard was mirrored but sadly it simply didn't work. I had invested so much time in this piece that I decided to dismantle it and salvage what I could. I then introduced the wooden strips which have given the piece a lot of depth - please have a look at the close up images to better examine.
The wooden frame is hand coloured with graphite to compliment the piece of work.
For protection each piece in this series is enclosed in a bespoke perspex case ready to be hung.
