Connected

These 3 pieces use a combination of torn paper on board, wires and graphite coated veneered wood  bent and woven together.

These three pieces are now really coming off the page - using this very thin veneer allows me to make completely new and different shapes. The use of graphite on veneer gives it a metallic sheen that reflects the colour from surrounding surfaces or light. I feel I am really beginning to explore and push my understanding of graphite.
